Mexico’s November billet production rises on-month
Mexican billet output increased sequentially in November 2023. Output, however, was weaker compared with a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
According to local statistics provider Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) preliminary data, Mexico produced 162,723 tonnes of billet during November. This was a growth of 1.3% from October’s volume of 160,599t but 8.9% lower compared with the same month in 2022.
