Mexico’s billet production slips in September
Mexican billet output decreased sequentially in September. Output, however, was higher compared with a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
According to local statistics provider Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) preliminary data, Mexico produced 147,199 tonnes of billet during September. This was a decrease of 11% from August’s 165,387t but 11,282t more compared with the same month last year.
