USSK excels in first quarter, sees Q2 headwinds
US Steel Kosice (USSK) achieved better-than-expected performance in the first quarter, says its US parent company. However, mounting commercial headwinds are likely to challenge results in Q2. The firm is therefore extending a planned outage on blast furnace no.2 to balance production with demand.
