Chinese scrap rises on demand recovery
China's steel scrap market jumped into a rising trend under the stimulation of the recovering steel market.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,787/tonne ($391/t), including VAT. This is CNY 2/t lower from Thursday but up CNY 70/t from the previous Friday.
