Turkish scrap market stabilises on fresh deals
Following a softening towards the end of last week, scrap prices in Turkey have stabilised on fresh deals from the US.
Following a US deal at $383/tonne cfr Turkey towards the end of last week, two bookings from the US were heard on Tuesday. A western Turkish mill bought HMS 1&2 90:10 at $387/t cfr at the end of last week, with HMS 1&2 80:20 corresponding to $383/t cfr. On Monday, a Marmara mill bought the same grade, again at $383/t cfr.
