Brazil's December flats sales, purchases remain weak
Flat steel sales and purchases from Brazil’s distributors and service centres fell sequentially last December, Kallanish notes. They are however expected to be 11% higher on-month in January.
According to national steel distributors’ association Inda, distributors’ sales totalled 257,000 tonnes in December, down 11.6% over the previous month and 1.7% less compared to 261,500t a year earlier.
