Northern European rod prices remain unchanged, market quiet
Northern European wire rod prices are flat again this week amid low demand and almost no trading activity, sources say. Some participants continue to expect restocking before the summer.
“The market continues to be very quiet in April,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are at €650/tonne ($697/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is at €620/t.
