US rigs rise by 3, Canada remains flat
The US rig count posted a minor increase in the week ended 4 December, while the Canadian rig count remained flat, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by three net rigs to 323, down 476 from the equivalent week last year.
Rigs geared for oil production rose by five, partially offset by a loss of two rigs geared for natural gas.
