Uncertainty raises pressure on Turkish flat steel prices
Downwards pressure on Turkish hot- and cold-rolled coil prices has accelerated due to increased uncertainty in the market amid a Ramadan slowdown, market participants tell Kallanish.
Local producer prices for July-production material have remained flat on-week at around $590/tonne ex-works for HRC and $690/t ex-works for CRC. Bid prices, however, have gone down further and workable prices are suggested not higher than $580/t.
