UAE extends ferrous scrap export ban

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economy has announced directive 1-43/2023, extending the country’s ban on exports of ferrous scrap from 21 March until 21 September 2023, Kallanish notes.
The directive to suspend the export of raw materials of iron and steel scrap concerns products under HS codes 72041000, 72042100, 72042900, 72043000, 72044100, 72044900 and 72045000.
