Turkey cuts 2022 HR flats imports, supply diverges
Turkey reduced imports of hot-rolled flat products in 2022 by 15.2% on-year to 4.69 million tonnes, after the 34.6% on-year growth in 2021 to 5.53mt, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data. This is despite December arrivals gaining a considerable 66.2% on-month at 347,318t, which was however down 14.6% on-year, Kallanish notes.
