Gulf Cooperation Council fully integrated mills are observing strong domestic and global demand amid reduced Iranian billet supply in the bloc. They are therefore increasing their quotes, Kallanish notes.
Last week in United Arab Emirates, the sole fully integrated mill, although not typically a billet supplier, sold 15,000 tonnes of 150mm 3sp billet to a local re-roller at $625/tonne ex-works for immediate shipment.
