Hadeed reduces scrap buying price, domestic values stable
Saudi Arabia's largest scrap consumer, the benchmark mill, has reduced its scrap buying prices by SAR 50/tonne ($13.3) on-month for June transactions. The drop has hardly affected the scrap market, Kallanish observes.
In May, the benchmark mill's delivered scrap purchasing price for HMS 1 80:20 grade was at SAR 1,650/t, sheared-shredded at SAR 1,695/t and PNS (premium) at SAR 1,720/t.
