Rio Tinto expects higher Pilbara iron ore shipments
Global mining group Rio Tinto has projected higher iron ore shipments of 323-338 million tonnes for its Pilbara mines in Australia next year, Kallanish notes.
Rio Tinto says in a statement that SP10 levels are expected to remain elevated for the next few years as the firm works through the next tranche of mine replacement projects. It says the levels are dependent on the timing of approvals for planned mining areas.
