Rebar pricing in the US holds firm
Activity in the US rebar market remains average for this summer’s construction season. Market participants inform Kallanish that the combination of stable seasonal demand and lower domestic scrap pricing has yet to lower rebar’s spot market prices through the second week of July.
“Nothing has changed over this past week. Market activity is returning to normal after the Fourth of July [holiday],” says a Northeastern rebar distributor.
