US raw steel production falls 8.5% on-year
US raw steel production for the week of 24 September was 1.68 short tons with a capability utilization rate of 76.4%, monitors Kallanish from the American Iron and Steel Institute weekly report. The figure represents an 8.5% decrease from 24 September, 2021, when production was 1.83 million st and capability utilization was 83.3%.
