Major mills increase rebar prices in Egypt
Major Egyptian mills have lifted domestic rebar prices by 4-5% or EGP 600-700/tonne ($38-45) to EGP 15,600-15,700/t delivered, including 14% VAT. This translates to $869-874/t excluding VAT.
EZDK and Beshay Steel have set their rebar quotes at EGP 15,700/t, while Suez Steel, Egyptian Steel, El Marakby and El Garhy are at EGP 15,600/t. The mills make a EGP 300-400/t deduction for traders on ex-works terms.
