Kardemir fails to shift rebar, billet volumes
Kardemir has decreased prices of billet for the domestic market in its new price list published on 26 August, Kallanish notes.
Size 150mm square billet has declined by $20/tonne to $590-595/t, versus Kardemir’s previous list on 10 August.
Rebar and wire rod prices, meanwhile, stand open, unchanged from the list issued a day earlier. Prices quoted are ex-works and exclude 18% VAT.
The lira has weakened slightly, hovering at 18.18/$1 on Friday.
