Italian HRC prices tick up amid holiday
Italian hot rolled coil prices are increasing slightly in the few new contracts implemented over recent days, but the sector is now on holiday and most service centres and re-rollers have idled their plants.
Italian steelmakers Arvedi and Acciaierie d’Italia are heavily reducing production this month and will implement maintenance works until the end of August to balance supply and demand (see Kallanish passim).
