Iron ore slides in drifting market
Seaborne iron ore prices slipped a little on Monday after a strong start to the year. Iron ore brushed off news of a partial suspension of Vale operations in Minas Gerais and fluctuated in line with the Chinese steel market.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index slipped $1.11/t to $128.14/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao. The Kallanish KORE 65% Fe index dropped $0.82/t to $153.80/dmt cfr, and the KORE 58% Fe index inched $0.24/t lower to $99.16/dmt cfr.
