Halted scrap downtrend fuels Turkish merchant bar hopes
Turkish merchant bar producers have struggled to hold their prices amid raw material price declines, with buyers’ delaying their purchases.
However, the apparent halt in the scrap price downtrend seen on Friday (see separate article) has fuelled producers’ hopes as they believe there is a significant amount of demand that was withheld for a while.
