Galati installs plate cooling unit, targets new markets
Liberty Galati has started the installation of a new modern accelerated cooling unit at its heavy plate mill for RON 150 million ($34m).
The new technology will enable the company to address the most profitable market segments, increase department productivity, expand the value-added product portfolio and improve the quality of finished products for the offshore, shipbuilding, construction and pressure vessel markets, the Romanian steelmaker says.
