Czechia expects Russia slab exemption: reports
Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela said on Monday he believes the Czech Republic will receive a prolonged exemption from EU sanctions on Russia-origin slab imports, reports the Czech News Agency, CTK.
Czech plate maker Vitkovice Steel has requested an exemption from EU sanctions till 2028, while the current exemption, which allows for a quota of 3.748 million tonnes/year of Russia-origin slab intake, expires in September 2024.
