ArcelorMittal Pecém January slab exports grow on-month
Brazil’s ArcelorMittal Pecém (AMP) saw slab exports rise month-on-month in January, Kallanish notes. Shipments, however, were weaker compared with the same period in 2023.
According to data issued by the local port authority, AMP’s January shipments abroad reached 284,156 tonnes, up by 5,468t, or almost 2% on-month. This volume, however, was 13.2% lower versus the 327,466t shipped a year earlier.
