Port Hedland iron ore exports rise in December
Iron ore shipments from Port Hedland in Western Australia rose on-year and on-month to 49.88 million tonnes in December, 2023, driven by higher shipments to China, Kallanish notes.
According to Pilbara Ports Authority data, the port's iron ore exports increased by 10.99% from 44.94mt in November, 2023 and 1.23% from December of the previous year.
