Switzerland pushes for moratorium on deep-sea mining of critical minerals
The Swiss Federation Council (SFC) is calling for a moratorium on deep-sea mining of critical minerals, Kallanish reports.
The ban on commercial exploitation of the international seabed area should be in place until there is more scientific knowledge on its impacts and the protection of the marine environment can be guaranteed, it says.
