EU new car market shrinks 20.5% in March
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine hit the European Union car market hard, with new registrations of passenger cars dropping 20.5% year-on-year in March, Kallanish reports.
Data released on 20 April by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) shows most EU countries have recorded double-digit declines. The four key markets of Spain, Italy, France and Germany saw sales fall 30.2%, 29.7%, 19.5% and 17.5%, respectively.
