ZMP reduces energy consumption with furnace upgrade
Russia’s Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant (ZMP) has finished repairs at heating furnace No.2, after the unit was stopped for major repairs in July, Kallanish notes.
It is designed to heat billet coming from the 750 section mill to the 400 section mill, with further processing in the thermal calibration shop.
