Whitehaven to start Vickery mine construction in June
Australian coal miner Whitehaven Coal has approved investment to commence on the early mining of the Vickery coal deposit, Kallanish notes.
The Vickery mine is located approximately midway between Whitehaven’s Tarrawonga mine and the Gunnedah coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP). The mine produces a proven high quality semi-soft coking coal, pulverised coal injection (PCI) coal and high-calorific value (CV) thermal coal.
