Whitehaven coal production rises in first quarter
Australian coal miner Whitehaven Coal has reported higher coal production in its first financial-year quarter ended 30 September, 2023, as a result of improved production across all sites and the ramp up of production at the Narrabri mine, Kallanish notes.
Whitehaven says in a statement that its run-of-mine (ROM) production of 5.3 million tonnes during the quarter was 5% higher than the June quarter.
