US rig count rises, Canada's falls
The number of active oil and gas rigs in the US rose while Canada’s number declined during the week ended 11 March, according to the latest Baker Hughes report sent to Kallanish.
The US added 13 net rigs last week for a total of 663 active rotary rigs. Eight net oil rigs were added to the weekly count, as were five net gas rigs. The count is 261 higher than this time last year.
