US HRC prices plummet
US sheet prices appear to be declining rapidly from last week.
“Sheet prices are plummeting as capacity continues to increase, dropped another $65/short ton this morning. Hearing sheet prices in the $1,200/st range,” a buy-side source says.
“Right now, we’re getting prices as low as $1,240/st from some mills. It’s low and getting lower, though,” a service centre source confirms.
