US adds seven rigs, Canada drops 18
The US has regained the seven active rigs that it had lost in the first week of March, Kallanish learns from oil services company Baker Hughes. Canada's tally of rigs decreased by 18 week-on-week.
For the week ended 15 March, the US rig count rose to 629 from the prior week’s total of 622. Of the total, 510 rigs are for oil and 116 are for gas. Three rigs are categorised as miscellaneous.
