Ukraine continues to increase steel, pig iron production

Ukrainian steel companies increased production in April despite the Russian-Ukrainian war, unfavourable global market conditions and logistical problems, according to national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom. Last month’s crude steel output amounted to 574,000 tonnes, up by 108% on-year and 8.9% compared to March, Kallanish notes.
