UAE re-rollers cut monthly volumes, resist price drop
Retail rebar prices in the United Arab Emirates have fallen by AED 20-30/tonne ($5-8) on-week, led by mid-capacity traders anticipating drastic price drops amid falling international scrap prices.
A few secondary mills are yet to close any rebar sales for March deliveries as they are resisting reducing their quotes to AED 2,350/t from AED 2,390-2,400/t in February, on 90-day credit, notes Kallanish.
