UAE buyers receive Indian, Indonesian billet offers
United Arab Emirates billet buyers are receiving imported billet offers from India and Indonesia on a cfr basis at $545/tonne and $550/t, respectively, as an alternative to Iranian offers of $520-525/t, notes Kallanish.
One buyer has booked 5,000 tonnes of induction furnace-route ex-India 130mm rebar-grade billet at $545/t cfr Jebel Ali for shipment in mid-March. Another, 100mm Indian billet offer was reported at $570/cfr Sohar port in Oman.
