Turkish HRC market remains in lull
The hot rolled coil market in Turkey continued to lull last week, pressured into inactivity by increases in energy prices, expensive and scantly-available semi-finished products, and the lira’s ongoing weakness. High volumes of purchasing in the first half of March at high prices and the beginning of Ramadan have also contributed to inactivity, Kallanish observes.
