Turkish demand lifts Benelux scrap prices
Scrap prices in the Benelux rose further throughout last week amid Turkey’s strong scrap demand.
Benelux exporters’ dock prices were mostly at €360-375/tonne ($380-396) delivered on Monday, up from €335-345/t a week ago.
Turkish demand remained strong last week, keeping prices on the upward trend. Although bookings from the EU were limited, deals from other regions, such as the US, Baltic and the UK, supported scrap prices in the Benelux.
