Taiwanese scrap falls, buyers face cost pressure

The Taiwanese scrap market has weakened this week, even as local mills announced they would keep purchasing prices unchanged to ensure supply. Major Taiwanese steel mill Feng Hsin Iron & Steel has kept its scrap purchasing prices stable, but cut rebar sales prices by TWD 200/tonne ($6.26) this week.
