Iron ore supply rises, demand, prices fall: Australia
The Australian government foresees iron ore prices to moderate over the next two years as supply rises and demand eases, according to the industry ministry’s latest Resources and Energy quarterly report seen by Kallanish.
From an estimated average price of around $105/tonne fob in 2023, the benchmark iron ore price is projected to steadily fall to an average of about $77/t by 2025, according to the report.
