Russia increases stainless steel production in 2023
of Russian production stainless steel increased in 2023 to 350,848 tonnes, up by 35% on-year, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat.
In December alone, output reached 31,500t, down by 3.6% on the previous month, but 11.7% more on-year.
In January-November, Red October had a 38% share in national output, Mechel’s Izhstal had 17%, Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant 15%, and Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works also 15% (see Kallanish passim).
