Nucor warns that Q1 earnings are weaker on-year
Nucor indicates that first-quarter profit will be lower year-on-year, with some of the decrease explained by weakness in demand and pricing at the steel products segment.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based steelmaker expects to report Q1 earnings per diluted share ranging from $3.55 to $3.65, Kallanish understands from a press release on Friday. In the first quarter of 2023, Nucor reported earnings of $4.45/share. In Q4, earnings were $3.16/share.
