Northern European wire rod prices flat, increases expected
Northern European wire rod prices remained stable in most cases this week, say market participants. However, sources continue to expect future increases due to high demand and restocking before Christmas.
“Demand is very good and is expected to be very good in the next six months,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish. “Some steel mills are pushing for more purchases in the middle of December.”
