Northern European rod prices decrease amid cheaper scrap
Northern European wire rod prices have decreased this week due to lower scrap values, but activity in the market remains low, sources say. However, some participants continue to expect more activity after the Easter holidays.
“There is a correction in some grades because of weaker scrap prices in March,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Prices have decreased by €20/tonne ($21.6/t), sources say.
