NMDC drops iron ore prices following duty imposition
Following India’s 50% duty imposition on iron ore exports, state-run miner NMDC has dropped its iron ore prices for May-June deliveries, the first decline after four consecutive hikes since February, Kallanish notes.
NMDC has slashed quotes by INR 600/tonne ($7.74/t) and INR 750/t for 65.5% Fe, 6-40mm lump ore and 64% Fe up to 10mm fines, respectively.
