Metinvest’s Port Nogaro plant unlikely, say local authorities
Metinvest’s planned steel mill in Porto Nogaro, northern Italy, to be built by equipment maker Danieli, “will not happen”, Claudio Kovatsch, the mayor of Grado, one of the region’s towns opposing the project, tells Kallanish.
To date, no official plan or requests for authorisation have been submitted to the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia or the local communities around Porto Nogaro, Kovatsch observes.
