Mill increases continue to drive US sheet prices
US hot rolled coil prices increased to $1,175-1,200/short ton from $1,000-1,050/st this week, and Kallanish confirms cold rolled coil is transacting between $1,300-1,350/st, up from $1,180-1,190/st.
As previously reported, Cleveland-Cliffs increased prices on cold rolled coil by $100/st and raised the minimum price of HRC to $1,300/st. Most mills have issued consistent price adjustments since the start of 2023, driving the minimums up for spot purchasers.
