Mechel’s coal sales fall amid low demand, exports
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel saw a reduction in output of some products in the first half of the year due to decreased demand.
Sales volumes increased for ferrosilicon, forgings and long rolled steel products. But they fell for washed coal, iron ore concentrate, stampings, and metallurgical coke, the company says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
