Kazakhstan’s steel output increases in first-quarter
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers increased crude steel production in March compared to the previous month, according to data from the national economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 357,112 tonnes, up 5.9% on-month and 13.4% more on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-March, steel production was 943,090t, 2.1% more on-year.
