Jiyuan commissions continuous caster
Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel commissioned a continuous caster for round billet with large diameters on 28 January.
Kallanish notes that this unit, supplied by Danieli, is able to produce 300,000 tonnes/year of round billet with diameters between 600-1,300mm. Jiyuan will manufacture special steel for bearings, wind power rings, engineering machinery, pressure cooker tubes and the energy sector using billet from this unit.
